The CD4503BM is a CMOS hex non-inverting buffer with tri-state (3-state) outputs in an SOP-16 surface-mount package. It contains six independent non-inverting buffers with high sink and source current capability, making it well-suited for driving bus lines and interfacing between logic families. Two separate output-disable controls are provided — one controlling four buffers and the other controlling the remaining two — giving flexible bus management in a single IC.

Pin-compatible with industry standard types MM80C97, MC14503, and 340097, the CD4503BM is a drop-in SMD replacement for these devices. Rated for 5V, 10V, and 15V parametric operation and compliant with JEDEC tentative standard No. 13B, it is suitable for industrial, automation, and signal processing applications.
