The IR2153 (DIP-8) is an improved self-oscillating half-bridge gate driver IC from Infineon (formerly International Rectifier). It integrates an internal oscillator with programmable deadtime, making it ideal for resonant converter topologies such as electronic ballasts, LLC converters, and induction heating circuits — without requiring an external PWM controller. The IR2153 is an upgrade over the IR2151 with added deadtime control for safer operation in Pakistan.
