The TD62002 is a 7-channel high-voltage, high-current NPN Darlington transistor array IC, housed in a DIP-16 through-hole package. Each of the seven channels consists of an NPN Darlington pair with an integral flyback clamp diode, making it ideal for driving inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, stepper motors, and lamps directly from low-current logic outputs (microcontrollers, logic ICs, or shift registers).

With its high current sink capability and integrated protection diodes, the TD62002 eliminates the need for external flyback diodes when switching inductive loads, simplifying circuit design and reducing component count. It is a direct functional equivalent to the popular ULN2002 and ULN2003 Darlington arrays.

Key Specifications:

  • Part number: TD62002
  • Channels: 7 (seven independent NPN Darlington pairs)
  • Output voltage (max): 50V
  • Output current (max): 500mA per channel
  • Input voltage: compatible with CMOS and TTL logic levels
  • Integral clamp diodes: yes (one per channel, for inductive load switching)
  • Package: DIP-16 (through-hole, 16-pin)
  • Lead-free (RoHS): suffix ‘G’ variant available

Key Features:

  • 7 independent Darlington channels — drive up to 7 separate loads from a single IC
  • Integral flyback clamp diodes — built-in protection for relay coils, solenoids, and motors; no external diodes needed
  • High current sink (500mA/channel) — directly drives relays, lamps, and LED arrays from logic outputs
  • High voltage (50V max) — compatible with 12V and 24V relay coils and industrial loads
  • Logic-compatible inputs — interfaces directly with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and 74xx logic ICs
  • DIP-16 package — breadboard and PCB friendly for prototyping

Applications:

  • Relay driver circuits (12V, 24V relay coils)
  • Stepper motor driver (unipolar, with external motor driver)
  • Solenoid and valve driver
  • LED and lamp array driver
  • Hammer and display driver
  • Arduino / ESP32 output expander for high-current loads
  • Shift register (74HC595) output buffer for relay banks

Note: The TD62002 is a current sink device — outputs pull to ground when active. Connect load between output pin and positive supply. The common cathode pin (COM) of the clamp diodes should be connected to the supply voltage of the inductive load for proper flyback protection.
